The gap between pole and P16 in the Qualifying session. It’s also worth noting that the gap between P1 and P3 on Friday was a mere 0.089s. Close, you say? We agree!

Speaking of Qualifying, half of the Top 10 on the Feature Race starting grid was made of rookies: George Russell (P2), Nirei Fukuzumi (P7), Tadasuke Makino (P8), Jack Aitken (P9) and Maximilian Günther (P10). And sure, technically he’s not a rookie having raced in F2 at Yas Marina in 2017, but Sakhir poleman Lando Norris is far from being a seasoned driver either!

On Sunday, all twenty cars entered in the Championship took the chequered flag at the Bahrain International Circuit. The day before, Roberto Merhi was the only driver who did not finish the race. Not a bad record for the new F2 2018 car!

There were 4 different drivers at the front over the course of the two opening races of the season: Lando Norris (30 laps on Saturday), Artem Markelov (15 laps on Sunday), Nyck De Vries (8 laps on Sunday), and Ralph Boschung (1 lap on Saturday).
