DRIVER #19 // CARLIN
How big is your family?
There’s six of us, my mum, dad, brother and two sisters.
If you were an animal which one would it be?
I’ve been asked this one before! Let’s go with a cheetah, I think they’re the fastest animal out there!
What’s your favourite pastime?
Who would play you in a biopic about your life?
Me! What’s better than that? I don’t know names of actors, although I could go with Orlando Bloom.
What was your best subject at school?
Oh god! I left school with nothing! I think I’ll go with Art and Design.
Tell us one thing nobody knows about you…
Ah, man. I’ll say I’ve got vertigo…
What’s your strangest talent or dinner-party trick?
I haven’t been to a dinner party since I was a child, and I don’t really remember what happened. I’ve got none, my talent is that I’ve got no talents…
Favourite person to follow on Twitter/Instagram?
It’s either Ricky Taylor (IMSA driver) or his brother. They both do some really good things on social media.
What’s the worst thing you’ve ever heard over the radio?
I don’t know, I have very little contact on the radio! The most annoying thing to hear is “push”, especially when you’re pushing as hard as you can!
Favourite moment of a race?
It’s the starts.
Name something that your engineer keeps telling you to do?
Don’t stall! [laughs] Get the front tyres in, and stay consistent.
What’s your usual reaction to “let’s take a group selfie?”
Oh man, I don’t usually get in those situations. My reaction is to stay at the front of the pack…
Have you ever been on your own Wikipedia page?
I have, but only because someone edited it to something that wasn’t true. It was like, height – 3 foot 10 or something. I just wanted to see what my stats were…
What’s the weirdest dream you’ve ever had?
I don’t have dreams! I never sleep long enough to have them, I’m a rubbish sleeper!
Where do you keep your trophies?
They’re all at my parents’ house. They have a big shed, they run a farm and my sister does horse racing. So it’s got a tractor in, quadbike, and then there’s a beam around it. The nice ones are in my bedroom there, but the little ones are in there.
