Let’s start with the least interesting one, the Vitamin C tablets. When you’re doing a lot of travelling, it’s quite important to stay fit and healthy, and keep a healthy immune system. I always have them in my bag, so I take them wherever I go.
This is a present from a friend who was always getting upset when I ran out of phone battery, so he gave me this. This also comes with me everywhere I go, because if I run out of battery I find myself stranded in strange places with lots of menacing-looking people surrounding me! [laughs] Those are always the times you need a phone on you…
Currently, I’ve got Mario Kart 7 in there. I like to play a bit of Pokémon and stuff like that as well. It’s just nice not to use my phone so much when I’m on flights, so I use that instead.
I always have these, just because I love a bit of music when I’m on the plane and travelling, and during my warmups too.
You always need to have some snacks while you’re travelling, so I’ve got some biltong. It’s a high-protein, low-sugar version of jerky – it’s very tasty, smells a lot, people usually ask me for it and I end up having to share it.
That’s all I travel with really – stuff to keep me healthy, stuff to keep me happy and stuff to eat. The bare necessities.
